Shown on the layout below are the locations of dowel and screw holes that comprise the tooling plate bolt pattern for PDC index tables. Strict adherence to this hole pattern is critical if the customer is to mount his own tooling plate. Care must be taken to prevent mounting hardware from penetrating through to the underside of the dial plate where segments could be damaged.

If desired, PDC will fabricate and mount tooling plates per your specifications. They can be sized the same as the index table or extended for the desired work circle.

  • WHEN USING AN ALUMINUM TOOL PLATE, DOWEL HOLES MUST BE BUSHED WITH A STEEL DRILL BUSHING.
  • BOLT CIRCLE FOR ABOVE PATTERN IS ALWAYS 3" SMALLER THAN INDEX TABLE SIZE (EXAMPLE: 18" TABLE USES A 15" BOLT CIRCLE.)
  • DUPLICATE HOLE PATTERN IS MACHINED IN DIAL PLATE USING BLIND HOLES
  • DO NOT DRILL THROUGH DIAL PLATE!
